Midwest City firefighters rescued a woman after a crash near I-40 and Town Center Dr. in Midwest City on March 23. Photo by Jeff Harrison A driver was hospitalized this afternoon after a vehicle crashed through a fence on Interstate 40 near Midwest City's Town Center Plaza. The crash happened about 2:44 p.m. Officials said a Ford Explorer was traveling westbound on I-40 and departed the roadway near the Town Center Dr. exit. The vehicle struck a light pole and a chain link fence along the highway, before hitting a tree near the Midwest City Tourism Information Center, 7200 SE 29 th St.
